Have you started thinking about your 2024 movement plans?
With the new year approaching, I encourage you to take some time to write out what you loved about 2023 and list what you want the next year to look like.
One thing I loved about 2023 was that my message of “Pilates is for EVERY body,” reached more people who were interested in moving with Pilates. Pilates is for everyone and anyone at any time in their life; it meets you exactly where you are, and a good teacher will create a program suited to fit your needs. In 2024, I want to see my studio and message of “movement for every body” continue to grow and find more people who want a safe place to learn to enjoy movement, or simply add Pilates into their life.
If you are thinking about your new year movement goals I have one question for you to ask yourself:
What simple act could you add into your day to help you move more?
Here are some ideas that may help you create your own goal:
add squats in when you go to sit down or stand up
practice standing on 1 leg and balancing
take movement breaks when you are at work/your desk
enlist support from your furry best friend for walks or play
start your day with 5 minutes of movement
end your day with 5 minutes of stretching
take the stairs more often
sit on a stability ball
park farther from an entrance
suggest walking meetings
use a standing desk
What ideas do you have? I’d love to hear about them!
This year, I’m going to commit to doing 10 minutes of Pilates or Restorative Yoga daily and walk my dogs at least 20 minutes 4-6 times a week.
As this year wraps up, I want you to know that I love being a part of your movement journey, and look forward to helping you create goals that work best for you. If you have any questions about Pilates, or would like some help getting started working with me, feel free to text 307.363.0124 or email fjpilates@gmail.com and I’ll help you get set up!
Have a healthy and happy Christmas and New Year!
