Pilates helps with back pain
I read recently that one in three people state that back pain impacts their every day life.
1 in 3.
Other statistics out there say that lower back pain affects 80% of the U.S. population and that it's the third most common reason to see a doctor.
Many any of the people who come to Felicia Jane Pilates will tell me that they want to do Pilates because they would like to alleviate some of their back pain.
So, when a client who is focusing on reducing the pain in her low back tells me that she's not struggling with as much daily low back pain since she's been coming to Pilates, it makes me jump for joy!
And, what makes me even happier: she's feeling better in just seven (7) private sessions! What a win.
Every client who comes in to my studio is asked to complete a client profile and then we chat about what movement goals they have. Armed with this information, I can create a program to help them stretch tight muscles (that may not just be in the back) as well as help strengthen their core muscles (that may not just in the stomach).
It's important to me to make sure that the workouts I deliver help my clients reach their goals. Not mine; their's.
