Recap of 2022 Give Back Mat Classes
Giving back to my community is very important to me, so I often hold Give Back Mat Classes and donate $10 of each ticket price to a nonprofit of choice. In 2022, more than $1,800 was given to Campbell County, Wyoming nonprofits with my give back mat classes.

Grateful for you this Thanksgiving
Thank you for allowing me to create a space where you can learn to love your body and enjoy movement. It has been my honor and pleasure to get to know you, support you, and teach you Pilates. Without you, I wouldn’t be able to help support my family and fur kids, nor give more than $3,000 to local nonprofits this year with Give Back Mat Classes.

You Belong Here!
Creating Felicia Jane Pilates has made me be more vulnerable than I ever imagined. It’s not easy to put yourself out there in an industry packed with people who are “long and lean” targeting others who want to be “thin”. It’s not easy to love your body and what it can do when so many people and businesses say otherwise.

Pilates and Pregnancy
Did you know that Pilates can be safe to do during and after pregnancy? Because Pilates exercises focus on your core, practicing it on a regular basis can alleviate backaches, and ultimately help with labor and delivery—not to mention improve posture. By combining flexibility and strength training with body and mind awareness, Pilates can offer wonderful benefits throughout your pregnancy.

Pilates helps with functional movement patterns
Through the use of spring driven machines and floor exercises, Pilates strengthens your abdomen, back, pelvis, glutes and legs; and I also believe your arms. Pilates uses low-impact exercises to help you gain flexibility, improve posture, decrease pain, increase strength and create an overall stronger sense of well-being.

Learn about the six Pilates Principles
Joseph Pilates originally called his work Contrology, and created his mind and body approach to movement focusing on centering, concentration, control, precision, breath, and flow–or what is now referred to as the Pilates principles.

How many times a week should I attend Pilates?
Here are a few suggestions to help you decide how often you should attend a Pilates class based on the goals you have for yourself

Equipment at Felicia Jane Pilates
Every movement system will have its own equipment, culture, lingo, etc; and Pilates is no different. I incorporate the Mat, Reformer, Chair, Spring Boards, and various other props such as spring boards, barrels, and more. There is a mix of equipment used at Felicia Jane Pilates. Some is from Balanced Body, Peak Pilates, while others are from Merrithew.
